Food access doesn’t begin in the supermarket, nor does it end there... How and why do acquire the food you choose to consume? What are your food roots? Do you know about your local minority farms? Soil forms a strong foundation for a plants roots... Out of 113,037 farm operators, 616 were Black. Black farms averaged 31% less in their average market value of products sold. In the state of Massachusetts: 24 farms are operates by American Farms, 134 by Asian Americans, 110 by Black or African Americans, and 203 by Hispanic/Latino regardless of race.
